HAPPY FOR WORD WEDNESDAY

Happy day to you! I've created a card with the last letter in January's WORD - "Happy". The stamp set of choice is "You're A Gem"(page 156 Idea Book)

The Create with Connie and Mary sketch was great inspiration!

I used some of the Baja Breeze scraps I had left on my table and added a card base of Calypso Coral, designer paper courtesy of Everyday Enchantment(Sale-A-Bration FREE choice) and a little Big Shot action.

This could very well substitute as a Valentine greeting if red is not your thing.

HOW ABOUT A LITTLE ROMANCE?

Here we are at Tuesday, the last day of January! So, I'm leading in to February, the month of love, with "Loving Thoughts" and "Bordering on Romance". Both sets are available in the Occasions Mini catalogue until April 30th.

I love the softness of this card and Baja Breeze and Blushing Bride make it so. The addition of a subtle pattern from the Twitterpated pack helps too.

I stamped the flower bundle from Bordering on Romance several times with Stazon Jet Black ink and then added color with a blender pen. I had fun cutting out each bundle and layering them using Stampin' Dimensionals. And the pearls......well they add just the right touch!

WORKSHOPS STAMPIN' UP STYLE

Happy Monday to you and welcome. Can you believe that it is the last Monday in January? I am having trouble with that 'cause it seems that this month disappeared in a blink! However, it also means that we only have another couple of months of winter up here in northeastern BC! Can't complain about that!

Now then, I've made a slight change to my class calendar for February and will be offering this class on Tuesday, Feb. 7th and Wednesday, Feb. 8th instead.

ELEMENTARY ELEGANCE WITH STAMPIN' UP!

Welcome! Seems that I missed a post this week and I apologize for that. Guess I forgot about Thursday - LOL.

Well, here is a great card that I created using a FREE Sale-A-Bration selection called "Elementary Elegance"(125122). I had some calypso coral card stock sitting on the table from Wednesday's post and carried on with a new color theme by adding Baja Breeze.

PONY PARTY FOR WORD WEDNESDAY

Welcome to WORD Wednesday. This month I have been using stamp sets that highlight each letter in the word "HAPPY". This week we are on the second "P" and I choose to use "Pony Party"...........

Great sketch isn't it?!

I started with a card base of Lucky Limeade and matted it with one of the fabulous patterns from the Everyday Enchantment designer paper(126154) that is in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Then I had to figure out how to add Peach Parfait to the mix. So, I stamped the pony image and colored it with a blender pen and the Peach Parfait classic ink. Problem solved and I ended up with a portrait of a Palamino at the same time.(At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

Just adding that small strip of embossed card stock cleaned it up and now the flowers stand out. After all that was the whole idea to begin with.

Well Friday has arrived and it seems that this cold weather is going to stay for a while. Sure hope you're all staying warm!

Here is my version using "Take It to Heart" from the Occasions Mini catalogue.

I'm really enjoying working with Poppy Parade - doesn't it make a great valentine?! The designer paper is from the Everyday Enchantment collection that will soon be available as a FREE choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Considering how much I've been using it lately, can you tell that I really, really like it? LOL!!!

PRETTY POSTAGE CALYPSO STYLE

Happy WORD Wednesday to you. I sure hope that you're staying warm during this cold snap we've been having! Holy cow, winter has teeth - LOL!!

Hopefully today's WORD Wednesday card will warm you up. We are highlighting the second letter "P" in the Word "Happy" for this one and I choose to use the Pretty Postage clear mount set.

The Create with Connie and Mary sketch worked perfectly for the images in this set.

I started off with a card base of Confetti White(102028 Idea Book) and warmed it up with Calypso Coral and a "taste" of Lucky Limeade. That piece of designer paper will soon be available to you(Sale-a-bration Jan. 24th) for Free with a purchase of $60.

TWITTERPATED DESIGNER FABRIC WITH STAMPIN' UP!

Well here it is a greeting card made with 90% designer fabric from Stampin' Up! and my sewing machine. This is definately not my usual style but it was exciting and fun to create.

The fabric was adhered to a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of card stock with the fabric adhesive roll and then sewn. After the sewing was done, I glued the entire panel down with Multipurpose Liquid glue.

It's actually quite a simply laid out card but took quite a large list of recipe ingredients. Here it is:

LOVE EMBOSSED

Wow, happy Monday to you from very, very cold Fort St. John, BC. Winter has finally visited and from all accounts will be staying a while! OK then, one just deals with it and gets on with the very pleasant job of creating with stamps, paper and ink!

Today's card was one that we made at club night this month.

I just love the "Everyday Enchantment" designer paper(available to you during Sale-a-bration on Jan. 24th)! This pattern and a card base of Poppy Parade just make this card sing!

Check out the pretty edge created with the new Adorning Accents Edgelits die. I love these tools!

Then, using another idea I found in Cardmaker magazine, I took some retired On Board letters and attached them to the back of the designer paper with dotto. Then, ran the whole thing through the Big Shot and then lightly sanded them before removing the letters. The "You" was stamped with versamark and then heat embossed with white emboss powder.

We all had a great time with this card and found it quite easy to create!

TWITTERPATED WITH LOVING THOUGHTS

A big Friday hello to you. Hope your week has been going great - I've sure been busy in my stamp room this week.

I was looking for some more ideas to use the Twitterpated Designer Fabric and came across a card project in the January 2012 issue of Cardmaker using a quilting theme. I decided to play using paper and came up with this card.

This is 5-1/2" square and uses quite a few different patterns from the Twitterpated package. The thin red strips bordering inside the scallop square are 1/4" x 3-1/2" and the squares in the centre were cut using the Postage Stamp punch(and darn it, they are crooked!).

The pleated satin ribbon and the sentiment from "Loving Thoughts"(Occasions Mini page 15) add just the right finish. (If you click on the picture you'll also be able to see the pearls I added)

FABRIC AND FLOWERS

Hi there. I must confess that I don't use Stampin' Up's! designer fabric nearly enough, so decided that today was the day to experiment with fabric.

Remember the Kraft Gift Boxes from the Holiday Mini catalogue? Well, they are in the Occasions Mini catalogue now and are perfect for decorating.

I warmed up my iron, cut strips of the Twitterpated designer fabiric and ironed strips of the fabric adhesive roll to the "wrong side". Then, using my trusty Big Shot, cut shapes with the Tasteful Trim die and the Scallop Squares Duo die.

Did you know that you can iron the adhesive roll onto card stock? Well, that's what I did. Check it out.......

I created the flower with help from my Big Shot.....

..... stamped a gift tag using the new set, "Apothecary Art".....

..... and attached it with a length of Old Olive Satin ribbon.

Now all I have to do is pop in a special gift and it's ready for the recipient.

ARTISTIC ETCHINGS FOR WORD WEDNESDAY

Yay, it's WORD Wednesday and I am "Happy". He, he, that's the Word for this month and today's card highlights a stamp set that starts with the letter "A"!

Here it is..........

....don't you think that "Artistic Etchings"(page 129 Idea Book) works well for a Valentine-themed card? I sure do!

I used the Framelits Hearts collection and cut the larger heart shape in the Baja Breeze mat and then added a piece of Twitterpated designer paper behind it. The little heart was "blinged" up with a row of basic pearls and, well, I just had to add some elements from Trinket Keys and Trinket Hearts(New in the Occasions Mini).

Simple but effective, don't you think?

Good morning and welcome. I was checking out the March 2012 issue of Cardmaker online and found a card made with this flower. I had to try it right away for this birthday card.

Isn't it pretty?

Here's a close-up for you.

It was easy to create with vellum using the 1-3/4" scallop circle punch, a sponge and the Pool Party classic ink pad. After sponging, each circle was folded and cut and then arranged on a 1" circle of vellum to create the flower. The Rhinestone brad from the Ice Circles collection helps to finish it off nicely. I think it looks great on a background of Island Indigo and the Twitterpated designer paper!

EMBOSSING WITH THE NEW FRAMELITS DIES

Hi there. How was your weekend? Sure hope you had time to play with your stamps - I did, even after painting 200 feet of baseboard trim!

I was in the mood to create some flowers and thought that Pool Party was a great color to do that. Combined with Blushing Bride and Whisper White it makes a lovely and soft birthday card.

Did you know that you can emboss with the new Framelits dies? I got the idea from Jan Farring on the SUDSOL(Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing Online) website. How great is that!!

Those cute little buttons can be found on page 12 of the Occasions Mini Catalogue and come in Baja Breeze as well. So pretty and were the perfect accent for the flowers.

I did a little "masking" for placement of the birthday greeting from "Apothecary Art".

TAKE IT TO HEART WITH LOVING THOUGHTS

Hey to Saturday and the new Framelits Hearts Collection. These dies are the best and my idea to use "Take It to Heart" from the Occasions Mini Catalogue works perfectly with this wonderfully soft color challenge from Create with Connie & Mary.

I love this card!

And here is how I created it;

- stamped the large heart image onto Whisper White card stock with Soft Suede Classic ink.

- carefully colored it with Stampin' Write Markers in Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede

- cut the image out with one of the set of 6 heart framelits and then trimmed the extra with Paper Snips.

- cut two more frames out of Blushing Bride and Pool Party card stock.

- stamped the label image onto Whisper White and then Pool Party and cut them out.

- stamped the sentiment from "Loving Thoughts"

- created a pretty bow with 3/8" Pink Pirouette Taffeta ribbon, attached a tiny heart from Trinket Hearts and attached the whole thing with Mini Glue Dots.

Good morning! I just can't get enough of the new Edgelits dies. Check out this simple card.

Isn't that a pretty scalloped edge? And the 1/8" wide border of Everyday Enchantment designer paper gives it just the right amount of pop. If you click on the picture you should be able to see the Dazzling Details that was added to the center of each flower. Dazzling Details is just one of the items that has been carried over from the Holiday Mini.

BORDERING ON ROMANCE STAMPIN' UP STYLE

Hi there and welcome! It's January 2nd and there are only a few short days left before the new Occasions Mini catalogue goes live. Yep, January 4th is the magic day!

Here's another teaser for you using the same set as yesterday(click here to see it), "Bordering on Romance".

I used the MOJO Monday sketch for layout inspiration. It's also a great way to show off some more of the "Twitterpated Designer Paper"!

I stamped the larger flower image onto shimmery white card stock using Island Indigo classic ink. Then I carefully colored the flowers and leaves with a blender pen using Riding Hood Red and Pear Pizzazz. You do need to color carefully if you've stamped the outline with classic ink. It will smudge.

I love the label image in "Take It to Heart"(another new set) and stamped it onto Island Indigo cardstock with Basic Black ink and then cut it out. It's the perfect size to add a sincere birthday greeting.

The spray of flowers in the middle comes from the same set and was heat embossed so I could add some color with a blender pen. No mat for this as I wanted to continue the softness of the card.

The thoughtful sentiment comes from another new set called "Loving Thoughts". There are many perfect sentiments to choose from in this set, make sure to check it out in your copy of the Occasions Mini catalogue.

I could not resist adding a short length of Perfect Plum taffeta ribbon and a pretty filigree brad!

Greetings on the last Friday of the year - only one more day and then we celebrate the start of a brand new year!

Each new year brings with it birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions and it is always a good idea to get your greeting cards prepared ahead of time. That is what I have done with this one.

Can you guess what is new? If you said the stamped image and the designer paper, you are right! I blended a little "old" with the new for this card by using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Vintage isn't usually my style, but I do like the way this card turned out.

Yay, it's WORD Wednesday. The last letter in the featured word - "SNOW"! So, I used "Winter Post" for this one today. When this stamp set first came on the scene in 2009, I was captured by the skating couple.

UP, UP AND AWAY GLITTERY STYLE!

Hello and welcome. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We are now on the count down to a brand new year so today's card is a glittery tribute to 2012!

I'm playing along with the Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge for this one.

So, I started with a card base of whisper white and embossed it using the Snow Burst Embossing folder from the Holiday Mini catalogue.

In my mind, one just has to have balloons on New Year's Eve, so out came "Up, Up & Away", the heat tool and silver emboss powder!

Each balloon was carefully cut out and attached to a sliver of Silver Glimmer paper and arranged on the card front using Mini Glue Dots.

Notice that pretty label? It was created with a new product coming in the Occasions Mini catalogue, the new Framelits Labels Collection! The happy greeting was attached using Mini Glue Dots, which I find easier to use on the glimmer paper.

Another WORD Wednesday post for you today! I've been highlighting the word "SNOW" for this month(yes we do have some, just not as much as usual) and today we are on the letter "O"!

The only stamp set I have that starts with "O" is "Oval All". It's a great set of sentiments that make good use of Stampin' Up's! oval punches.

I love the flower image in the Summer Solstice set and stamped it as I did yesterday, with Riding Hood Red classic ink. No heat embossing this time.

Hi and a happy Monday to you! I've been playing with New stuff from the soon to be available, Occasions Mini catalogue - there's some wonderful things coming your way!

This card was created with some new designer paper called "Twitterpated" - cute name isn't it? Wait until you see all the beautiful patterns for yourself!

The weather has been so mild lately that I decided to go with flowers and pulled out a stamp set called "Summer Solstice". The Create with Connie & Mary sketch assisted with the layout.

So, I stamped the flower image with Riding Hood Red classic ink and then over-stamped it with Versamark, sprinkled it with Iridescent Ice emboss powder and heat set it. Isn't that sentiment great? It's in the "Summer Solstice" set as well.

This card would be great for a birthday, congratulations, or a just because. It's never too early to get your card stash filled up!

WORD WEDNESDAY WITH NEED FOR SPEED

Happy WORD Wednesday to you and welcome!

This month I am highlighting letters in the Word - "SNOW" and we are on the letter "N" today. So, I pulled out "Need for Speed" to play with.

I got the "racing" background by using the houndstooth Texturz Plate and wiping Basic Black classic ink on it before I ran the sandwich through the Big Shot.

The car (ford, chevy or other? Which do you think?) was stamped first in basic black classic onto a 1-3/4" x 3" panel of whisper white. Then it was stamped with real red classic ink onto a piece of scrap. I wanted it to be bright and shiny, so over-stamped with versamark and then heat embossed it with Clear Emboss powder. Red tires just don't do it - so I carefully cut it out and popped it up on the black car with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from a brand new set in the Occasions Mini catalogue called "Loving Thoughts".

A NEW TECHNIQUE AND NEW STAMPIN' UP PRODUCTS

Today's card has some "new" stuff to show! A technique that I haven't tried before and some new Stampin' Up! products that will be available to you from the Occasions Mini Catalogue on January 4, 2012!

This technique is called the "Herringbone" and it is made up of several 3/8" strips of two kinds of designer paper.

CALENDARS MAKE GREAT GIFTS

Good morning. Well, it's only 14 days to Christmas and I have been working on some last minute stocking stuffers. These little calendars make great gifts are are quick and easy to put together.

These started out as an easel card and are only 4-1/4" wide so will not take up a lot of space on someone's desk.

I used designer papers from the Beau Chateau and Paisley Petals packages with coordinating card stock. A bit of ribbon and some pretty brads help to finish each off.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE WITH CHRISTMAS LODGE

A big Saturday Hello to you! I'm working on Christmas cards later today and needed to get one more made.

I kept this one very simple, one layer.......

.... well, almost!

So, I used one of the ready-made cards from the package of "Note Cards" that Stampin' Up! sells. This is great if you are in a hurry as there are 20 cards with matching envelopes in this package!

I stamped the lodge and greeting with Not Quite Navy classic ink. Then I decided that it needed a little more color so inked up the birds and branches with Stampin' Write markers and cut it out. A Stampin' Dimensional pops it up and still leaves this card simple and extra postage free!

LOVELY AS A TREE

It's Friday, December 9, 2011! I'm about to start getting my Christmas card addressed and sent - how are you doing with that?

I did have one more to create - this came about because my niece asked me to design a Christmas card suitable for her to give to her husband. Hmmm, a masculine Christmas card - well, here's what I came up with.............

The designer paper from Frostwood Lodge(Holiday Mini, page 28) came in very handy here. I also pulled out a timeless stamp set, "Lovely As A Tree" for the focal image. Isn't that pile of gifts cute? I used another timeless set called "Loads of Love Accessories" for them. They were colored with Stampin' Write Markers and then carefully cut out to be popped up under the tree with a Stampin' Dimensional.

The greeting comes from "Four the Holidays" and was masked before inking up to display only the one word. Because this is a special card for a husband, the "love" sentiment just had to be there! I'm happy to say that my niece really liked this card and is happy with her creation!

BIRTHDAY WISHES AND A NEED FOR SPEED

Hi and welcome to this Thursday post. We have a very good friend who is celebrating a birthday next week so I inked up a new(to me) stamp set for his card. Actually, I used 3 stamp sets for this one!

They are "Lovely As A Tree", "Need for Speed" and "Happiest Birthday Wishes" for the greeting.

It starts with a card base of Soft Suede and I added some Naturals Ivory and Well Worn designer paper for the accents. The quad was inked up with Cajun Craze classic ink and the Stamp-a-ma-jig helped with placement for the layer of Versamark. I added some Clear Emboss powder and heat set it for the shiny new look. The greeting was colored with Stampin' Write Markers and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

A NEW WORD FOR WORD WEDNESDAY

Happy WORD Wednesday! We have a new word today - "SNOW" - now where did I get that one from, ha ha!

So the first letter is, of course, "S" and I'm highlighting "Sweetheart"(page 60 Idea Book)

Not a Christmas card but a card that does use the Holly Berry Bouquet designer paper from the Holiday Mini catalogue. I think that little window looks so good and created it very easily with the Peekaboo Frames BigzL die. The little bird was colored "direct to stamp" with markers and cut out to sit happily on the bow.

I liked the color combination from Stamping 411,

...and combined it with this week's Stamping 411 sketch.

I've had the Timeless Portrait Designer Paper for a while and have enjoyed looking at it, but, it was time to start finding ways to use it. The collage of portraits just seemed right for a "love-themed" card!

The sentiment from "A Word for You" and a few hearts help to finish it off. It's simple and I really like the blend of Poppy Parade and Basic Black.

Hello out there! Good grief and its Friday already! I've taken a small break from Christmas cards to put together a birthday card suitable for a child. Our family has quite a few birthdays coming up in December and January, so I'm trying to get ahead of things.

I used "Up, Up & Away" for this cute card and got my layout inspiration from The Paper Players.

I've been collecting the Craft Stampin' Spots collections and just had to use the Brights collection to make the balloons. Each balloon was sprinkled with Clear Emboss Powder and heat set and then cut out. I added a mat of matching color to each with a 1-3/8" Circle. Just plain cute I say.

A HOLLY BERRY SCRAPBOOK

Good Morning. Last night we created two 12" x 12" scrapbook pages for Christmas photos.

I subscribe to Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine and purchased their calendar last year. It has some great scrapbook layouts - 1 per month - and I've used them quite a bit over this past year.

These pages uses several of the designs in the "Holly Berry Bouquet" specialty designer paper. Don't worry, you can still get this from the Holiday Mini catalogue until December 31st. Check it out here.

Page 1 has room to showcase a family photo sized to 5" x 5" but there is room to make it a 5" x 7" photo if you prefer.

Page 2 is designed to fill with snapshots of your favorite people. I used the 2-1/2" Circle punch and the Scallop Circle #2 die for these. You can add more if you wish, but I prefer to keep my scrapbook pages simple.

Now, I'm off to finish preparing for the Shoppers Drug Mart Christmas Extravaganza that is happening this Saturday, Dec. 3rd. The Elves will be assisting customers in picking out just the right beauty product for gift-giving and I will be showing some great holiday ideas using Stampin' Up! products. SERENE SNOWFLAKES FOR WORD WEDNESDAY

A big Good Morning to you for WORD Wednesday! Today I am highlighting the last letter in the word "Gifts". So, I pulled out "Serene Snowflakes" for this one,

and used this great sketch from Stamping 411.

A sketch is a great starting off point and you can see that I reversed the layers for my card. Couldn't have the greeting on an angle, you know - LOL.

Pool Party is a great color for snowflakes and the Whisper White just adds to the wintery feel. I used the smaller image in "Serene Snowflakes" for the background and then stamped the large flake with Pool Party classic ink. I decided to heat emboss it with Iridescent Ice and, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, was able to precisely place the Versamark.

This card needed a greeting and, after some thought, I decided that the lovely little flag from Pines & Poinsettias would be perfect.

MERRY LETTERS TO SANTA

Hello everyone and welcome to the last Monday of November! Have you got your Christmas greeting cards done? Here's one that I created using some scraps that were sitting on my table.

I've been playing a lot with the "Letters to Santa" designer paper and matching Quick Accents and used the leftovers for this card.

It starts with a card base of Riding Hood Red and a mat of Marina Mist that has been embossed with the Snow Burst embossing folder from the Holiday Mini catalogue(page 33). I cut out those pretty ornaments from a scrap piece of "Letters to Santa" and created some tiny bows to hang them from the cheery greeting.

Actually it is Blushing Bride card stock accented with a mat of Marina Mist and lots of embossing!

Isn't the designer paper pretty? This is just one of the selections from the "Letters to Santa" package and I just love those ornaments. I added some Basic Rhinestones to three of them, just because.

I needed a little inspiration so choose to use the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary

There are quite a few interesting elements involved in this sketch and I decided that the intriquing designs in the Timeless Portrait Designer paper would work here.

They also make some cute gift tags when combined with "Tiny Tags".

We had a huge dump of snow last week and over the weekend with really coooooooooold temperatures, so I tucked myself away in my stamping studio and created this card.

These snowflakes were easy to "capture" using the "Serene Snowflakes" stamp set!

I started out with a card base of Marina Mist and added Brushed Silver and Whisper White to complete the picture.

CHRISTMAS LODGE EMBOSSED

Happy Friday from a very snowy and cold Fort St. John, BC. Brrrrrr, seems that winter has finally arrived!

OK, so this card should suit the weather and the coming season.

This card uses the "Christmas Lodge" stamp set and the Frostwood Lodge Designer Series paper from the Holiday Mini catalogue. I love the images in this stamp set, they speak to me of a traditional family Christmas!

The very vanilla piece was embossed inside the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder and I added a strip of very vanilla punched out using the Eyelet Border Punch. It looked a little too plain and that is why the strip of Real Red satin ribbon was added.

I stamped the tree image with versamark and heat embossed it using Wild Wasabi Stampin' Emboss powder. It was cut out and popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals and the basic pearls were added. They were lightly colored with a Real Red Stampin' Write marker.(I would suggest using a more permanent ink on these as the color does rub off).

PINES & POINSETTIAS ALWAYS

Wow, Thursday already - the days are passing by so quickly - but I'm getting ready to start sending out Christmas greeting cards to friends and family.

Here's one I created using the "Pines & Poinsettias" stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalogue.

I used the color inspiration from The Paper Players and found that it works perfectly with the "Letters to Santa" designer series paper!

I kept it pretty simple, not too many layers to make mailing a little easier. I also tried my hand at pleating the designer paper and am quite happy with the way it turned out.

There was a little too much plain showing on the Always Artichoke mat, and a quick run through the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder fixed that! Add a couple of sprays of "Little Leaves" and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter and we'll call it good!

CHRISTMAS FUNKY STYLE

He, he, yes, I used "Funky Four" as the WORD Wednesday stamp set for this one. I'm usually rather traditional when it comes to Christmas, but a little funky doesn't hurt once in a while.

So, the Word is "Gifts" and today's letter is, of course, "F". Here's my take for you;

I started with a card base of Very Vanilla textured card stock, added a mat of Real Red and a pretty piece from Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper. Those stripes come from the same package and that piece was matted with Wild Wasabi card stock.

I stamped the tree image first with Soft Suede classic ink and cut it out with the Extra-large Oval Punch. I cleaned off the stamp and stamped it again with Versamark. Wild Wasabi Stampin' Emboss powder is now one of the great colors that are available and I used it for the tree branches. After it was heat set, I cut it out and popped it up onto the first image with Stampin' Dimensionals. The tree image includes 3 little stars around the truck so I added 3 brads for a little color pop.

The real red mat was embossed in the Snow Burst embossing folder(you can click on the picture to see a little more detail).

The perfect greeting comes from "Sincere Salutations" with the addition of some bright brads for interest.

HOLLY BERRY BELLS

Happy Tuesday and welcome! I've been working on card class ideas and came up with this bright and simple card.

Have you noticed the "Bells & Boughs" stamp set on page 43 of the Idea Book? It's such a pretty Christmas set and I really love the bells and holly image and decided that it would be a great addition to this card.

It's certainly bright and cheerful! I started with a card base of Very Vanilla, added a panel of Real Red and that lively pattern comes from the Holly Berry Bouquet designer paper.(Page 20 of the Holiday Mini catalogue).

I had fun with the Tasteful Trim die and just had to add the "bubble" trim. The holly and bells images were colored directly on the stamp, stamped onto very vanilla, cut out and popped up onto the greeting label with Stampin' Dimensionals.

It's bright and cheerful and actually will mail for regular postage(Canada Post). Can't beat that!

TRIPLE TREAT FOR CHRISTMAS

Good morning to you. I hope you had a good weekend! We Canadians had a long weekend as Friday was Remembrance day. I was quite busy this weekend but took Sunday to fulfill my need to stamp!

My creation uses an A la Carte stamp called "Triple Treat Flower" and the Color Challenge from Create with Connie & Mary.

I had no problem putting Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black together, but adding More Mustard???????

Here's what I came up with........

......aha, the second flower layer for More Mustard. I wanted to add a little holiday glitter so heat embossed the 3 flowers with Iridescent Ice Embossing powder.

The black layer was cut out with the Fancy Flower Punch and the other 2 layers were done with the 5-Petal Flower punch. I added a glimmer brad to the top Cherry Cobbler flower and then each layer was popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional.

WORD WEDNESDAY CHRISTMAS

It's Word Wednesday and time for a new letter in the work "Gifts". Today's letter is "I" and since the holidays are fast approaching, I thought is would be a good idea to show you what you can do with the stamp set, "It's a Wrap Holidays". This really versatile set can be found on page 14 of the Holiday Mini catalogue.

So, I pulled out my Big Shot(you really should have one) and the Matchbox Bigz XL Die and cut a box and lid of very vanilla.

The greeting was stamped in Garden Green and then again in Real Red and each was cut out separately. I added scallop circles of real red and Holly Berry Bouquet designer paper, popped the red sentiment up on a 1" circle of garden green and attach the entire piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.

That's it - a quick a pretty box for a special trinket for a friend or loved one.

GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS

Good Monday morning to you. I hope you had a great weekend and that you had some time to get some stamping done. Thank you to everyone who visited my table at Ladies Day Out on Saturday. I'm excited to report that Kimberli G. was the lucky winner of my Door Prize draw!

Here is one of the projects that I created using "25 & Counting" from the Holiday Mini catalogue. There are so many cute, cute images in this set and they all fit perfectly inside our 1" square and 1" circle punches!

These are Decor Blocks from page 181 of the big Idea Book. I cut six - 3" squares for each block in Wild Wasabi card stock and glued them on with Snail adhesive. The Multipurpose Liquid glue works very well for this part as well. I embossed some of the wild wasabi squares with the Snow Burst Embossing folder before I glued them down just to add a little texture.

The embellishments on the tops are from the Winter Wishes stitched felt package - so darn cute!
