Good morning and it's a very exciting day in the world of Stampin' Up!  Today is the first day of the New Stampin' Up Catalogue!!!!

SWEET CARDS FOR JUNE

Wow, Thursday already!  Yippee, only another day to begin ordering new stuff from the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue!  Are you excited?

I'm showing a new card that was created using the brand new "Betsy's Blossoms" stamp set.  You'll find it on page 72 of the New Catalogue!  

I just love that little bird!  So darn cute!

The background paper is another beautiful design from "Floral District Designer Series Paper".  It's so pretty that I kept the card as simple as possible.  

That sweet sentiment comes from "Create A Cupcake" and looks great inside that pretty label from the New Apothecary Accent Framelits.

STAMPING FOR WORD WEDNESDAY

Greetings on the last WORD Wednesday for the month of May!  The Word of the month has been "STAMP" and today's project focuses on the last letter "P" using the stamp set, "Pretty Postage".

I decided to switch things up a bit and created a set of four 3" x 3" note cards.

These would make great gift cards, just package them up in the 4" x 6" Cellophane Bags that Stampin' Up sells and tie it up with a pretty bow.

I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the stamped greeting to make it stand out a little more.  The 1" square punch and the Postage Stamp punch created two perfect mats.

BEST EVER FOR DAD

Did you know that Father's Day is coming soon?  June 17th is the day for Dad so I pulled out a stamp set made especially for creating a great Father's Day card!  It's called "Best Dad Ever", and it made it into the new catalogue.

I'm using a brand New In Color called Midnight Muse, as the card base and also used the New ink pad in Midnight Muse for this.  

I love that row of ties and stamped it first using Baja Breeze classic ink.  Then again on a separate piece of very vanilla in Midnight Muse classic ink so I could cut out those extra ties.  Each one was placed using Stampin' Dimensionals.  

The card seemed a little bare so I added a knotted length of the Denim Jean ribbon and placed the sentiment just below the knot with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Good morning to you - I sure hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  We were very fortunate to have had some wonderful warm and sunny weather.  Good thing too as our grandchildren, Bella and Jayden tried out drag racing for the very first time.  They each took a day to race and learn the ins and outs of drag racing.  It was so much fun to watch them!  And..... drum roll please......Jayden was Runner-Up in the Junior class on Sunday.  Pretty darn good for a first-timer!

Here he is carrying a trophy that is just about as big as he is!

He's a pretty proud little boy!  And so are Grandma and Grandpa!

We're off to the race track this weekend.  We're pretty excited because our grandchildren will be taking part in their very first drag race.
